Vegetable Beef Casserole with Brown Rice Recipe

Makes about 4

2 cups brown rice
2 tablespoons onion soup powder (save the rest of the package for another time)
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon MSG (optional)
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped mushroom
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup cubed sirloin steak
2-1/2 cups cold water

Pre-heat oven to 325F. In a large casserole, mix the rice, onion soup and chicken bouillon powders, oil and MSG. Add the chopped vegetables and meat. Stir in the water. Bake 1 hour or until the rice and vegetables are tender.
