3-1/4 cups water
3 cups of Japanese medium-grain rice
Wash and rinse the rice until the water stays clear. Then properly drain the rice. Into a pan and add the rice and water. Do not pour in more water than to barely cover the rice. Let the rice soak into the water from half an hour to 1 hour.
Cover the pan and bring the content to boil at high heat. When the water boils, bring the heat to medium and cook for fifteen to twenty minutes. When the water is mostly evaporated and absorbed, leave aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
